My external hard drive has developed many problems and is on its last leg.   completely dead. I can't recover anything.

Before the trouble started, I moved the 'my documents' folder on to the external hard drive so I would have more space for my downloads folder.  All was well, for a while. My cats knocked the external hard drive off the shelf. ( Read more... )
